I am not much of a television show person. By that I mean to say, when everyone is talking about The Walking Dead, or, um…. I really can’t think of any of the big shows, but I know people are always talking about them. Sometimes I don’t like being left out of the conversation when these shows are discussed, but at the same time. Not watching so much T.V. affords me more time to do other things.
That said, there are a few things I love to watch, and when I find something on T.V., or more likely Netflix since I have been a cable cutter for several years, I tend to watch it over and over again.
My favorite show, by miles, is BBC’s Top Gear UK. I have watched every single episode up to Season 20 at least a dozen times. Being a petrol head, as well as a fan of the British sense of humor, it is a fantastic combination that I cherish and binge watch regularly.
There are some shows however, that do inspire me. One of those is the short cable series, and the subsequent documentary called [Art of Flight](). It is essentially a documentary featuring Travis Rice and directed by Curt Morgan, about big mountain snow boarding.
I find it inspiring because they travel to the ends of the earth, riding unbelievably huge mountains. But there is more to it than just them bustin’ the snow in areas that have never been ridden before. They actually make every effort to get creative and unique video mixed with perfectly selected music.
Every so often I re-watch the documentary just for a bit of inspiration. What is really funny, is I have never even been on snow skis, let alone a snow board. It is on my list though, and I have a feeling, given my love of skateboarding, I will take to it like a fish to water.
What shows inspire you?
